About two hours drive north east of the Denpasar Airport and Kuta you'll arrive at Ubud, where modern resort accommodation blends with the Indonesian countryside.

From here you can explore this wonderful place, or return to drive inland into the hills. Head for the central inland village of Ubud, again about one hour from the airport and Kuta. Along the way you'll pass many villages and find that most of them specialize in handcrafts of a particular type. You'll find exquisite wood carvings, unique jewelry and be able to discover ancient temples and spectacular natural wonders.
