Hiking Gunung Agung
in Bali

Hiking Gunung Agung. Bali's highest and most revered moutain, Gunung Agung is an imposing peak from of south and east Bali, althought it's often obscured by cloud and mist.

Most books and maps give its height as 3142 m, but some say it lost its top in the 1963 eruption and with subsequent erosion and is now only 3014 m.

We decided to start by Pura Pengsubengan, northeast of the main temple complex.

After one and half hour of climbing, we stoped completely tired by this hard way.

It was a great experience because we spent time with guides and local people form this temple, we were only "tourist" in this place.

it's a long way to the top !

Our guide !

End of the world ?
